Aquatic Bass V: Another Fun Orlando Pool Party Event

Last month, I attended Aquatic Bass V,  an Orlando pool party series.

Actually, my friend Joe Vaught drove us.  Like usual, the event centered around breaks music. Also, it remained a family-oriented event.  Some folks brought their kids.

Drink prices and food prices were reasonable. If anything, a person could buy a tall Rolling Rock for three bucks. As for food, I paid eight bucks for a combo: a cheeseburger, chips, pasta and a drink.

Rain threatened us twice.  Because of lightening, folks were ordered out of the pool. Still, the party continued.

I do have one complaint. The fault isn’t with the organizers.  I just wish the event gained more coverage.  Not for the sake of gaining a larger crowd, but because I feel more people would enjoy the event.

Just about everyone who attended Aquatic Bass V definitely enjoyed it. Some folks enjoyed the pool. Later on, many people danced, even the kids. Everyone’s main focus was fun. If you enjoy going to places just to be seen, Aquatic Bass isn’t your type of event.

Aquatic Bass VI happens August 15.  I’ll be there.

June 27: Orlando’s Aquatic Bass Pool Parties Return

On June 27, Central Florida’s best pool party series returns.

Just like the last two events, Aquatic Bass 5 happens at the Orlando  Monumental Hotel on International Drive.

As Future Sounds of Breaks and Digital Davinci present the event, founder and DJ Jason Brown still runs the show, a show featuring mostly break beat dance music.

From the DJ lineup, I’ll focus on Frankie Bones, the headliner. I’ve seen the name several times here in Orlando. Because of the current overuse of the word “legend”, I thought nothing of the name. Yet, legend does apply to Frankie Bones. Bones is credited for being the first to import the rave culture to the United States. This after playing a UK hangar party in 1989.

Aquatic BASS IV: Awesome Halloween Event

On October 25 (a Saturday), I attended Aquatic Bass’s Halloween event.

Just like the previous pool party event, this one happened at Orlando’s Monumental Hotel, located on International Drive.

Also like previous events, DJs played mostly Florida Breaks music.

Hosting the event was Jason Brown and Glyn S. Morgan of Future Sounds of Breaks.

Kids and adults both dressed in costumes.  Two costume contests happened: one for kids and one for adults.

This event was more personal than I let on.  I wanted to photograph an October pool event.  Many folks aren’t aware that Florida  pool and beach activities still happen in October.  The weather still warrants such activities. I wanted to show that with my photos.

The event marked the end of the Aquatic Bass series for the year.  Next summer, the parties return.  I’ll be there.
