Trapped in the Closet

Words from Facebook:

Folks, there is torture, and then there’s GLORIOUS torture. On this fine evening, Marc With a C will be your host for a screening of the first 22 chapters of R. Kelly’s “Trapped In The Closet”!

“Trapped In The Closet” stars R. Kelly, the guy that played Omar in The Wire, and… variations on the same damned song TWENTY TWO times. Of course, by the end of it, you’re in for something unexpectedly brilliant, or you’ll just absolutely hate it. But in a “I love to hate this, but seriously, what happens next?” sort of way. There are tons of WTF moments, and bunches of quotable lines, and moments where you’ll be pounding the table with laughter.

Every time you buy a draft beer or special yellow drink that Glitch is concocting? You’ll be given a raffle ticket that’ll make you eligible to win some fun prizes! The catch? You have to make it through all 22 chapters. “No excuses and no exceptions”. It’s an endurance test the likes of which you have never experienced before.

Are you ready for the sweet, sweet pain? It’s free and starts promptly at 8 PM!

8. Wednesday, June 24: THE CHILDHOOD EDITION featuring Karina Curto!: Starts 8pm at Wednesday Open Words (Austin’s), located 929 W. Fairbanks Ave., Winter Park, Florida 32789.

Scratch D from Dynamix II

Scratch D of Dynamix II (Miami) is a bass heavy Dj and producer of the highest order. He’s Unconstrained by trends and it should be noted he sets trends. His numerous game changing contributions to the dance music world span over two decades longer what any EDM jock of the moment is shined as epic. This is an artist seasoned with dropping low end 808 and enamored to see it move a crowd either solo as Scratch D or in his iconic Electro Bass act Dynamix II (Give The Dj A Break). There is a distinctive booty moving quality to a bass/electro jam from Scratch D. Start with the vintage vibe of machines whirring in seemingly perpetual bliss and amps it up on full with a funk and soul that harkens back to Parliament and Troublefunk. Top that off with some classic street sensibilities and dance floors get embattled with heat like 2013 hit tune “What You Need” and tomorrow’s bangers “Nightride” and “Soundwave Tweeker”. Catch this legend of true electro and bass in a performance and hear his legacy of original works, exclusives and remixes that shake down the spot.
